In this video, we show how to disable comments and Pingbacks in WordPress.

HOW TO STEPS

    1. Log into your WP Admin page 
    2. Click on Settings > Discussion
      1. Under Default Posts setting UNCHECK the following three items:
        1. Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the post
        2. Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks) on new posts
        3. Allow people to submit comments on new posts
    3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Save Settings”

CONCLUSION

We personally do not like having comments and pingbacks and we like to disable them globally (you can disable comments on an individual page-by-page bases as well if you so choose). In our opinion, most of them end up just being spam, and it’s not worth it for us to keep the comments and have to go through them from time to time so disabling them completely made sense, choose what works for you.
