How To Steps

    1. Open Notepad++
    2. Plugins > Plugins Admin > select NppFTP > Install.
    3. Plugins > NppFTP > select “Show NppFTP window”
    4. Click on the button that got added called “Show NppFTP window”
    5. Settings > Profile Settings > Add New > supply your info as needed (Notes some providers do not work with DNS names so you will need their exact IP address in the host field), you can log into your provider’s site and usually on the Web Hosting under the Server tab you can find the IP Address.
    6. There is a Connect/Disconnect button that will become enabled once you create your first profile you can select the profile you want to Connect to. Verify that it works as you desired.
    7. You may wish to consider setting up other projects for the same account pointing at different folder locations to make it faster for you to navigate through FTP.

Conclusion

Using NppFTP though Notepad++ worked well, we could even create directories and files where we needed and triverse the tree. A very useful tool for FTP file updates on the fly.
