Vikings Razors and Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades REVIEW

FULL VIDEO REVIEW:

In this video, we talk about our take on the Vikings Razors as well as our thoughts on the Astra razor blades themselves. Additionally, we give you our recommendation on shaving cream, razor stands, how often we plan to change the razor blade, as well as how to safely dispose of the safety razors.

Towards the tail end, we do a quick comparison in a cost-benefit analysis on the comparison between spending money on a traditional 5-blade cartridge vs using a safety razor blade and how long we think it might last.   All the items are listed, and the Amazon link is provided in our blog post link below.

Conclusion

We do not plan to go back to the traditional 5 blade and the combination of using the Vikings Emplor and Vikings Vulcan coupled with the Astra blades seems to be a PERFECT fit for us. Additionally, I think pending around $160 equates to having approximately 28 years of blades available for me IF I ONLY use around 50 blades a year.  In closing I very much recommend Vikings Razor coupled with Astra blades as well as the associated accessessries I mentioned and listed below.

MÜHLE TRADITIONAL Stand for Razors | Shave Accessory | Robust Stainless Steel (Only putting in this list because it looks gorgeous BUT it will NOT fit the Vikings Emperor, it however, will fit Vikings Vulcan however it will be extremely unstable and the slightest movement will make the blade fall backward, so if you are considering this then you will need to lean the razor against a wall or something).

OTHER VIDEOS / Blog Post Recommendations

  1. Side Note: The Vikings Vulcan has the same face on both sides while the Vikings Emperor has a smoother side for sensitive asking while the other side is probably what people will use most of the time.
